What do the germans say in their language when…

….
they hear smth that is anoying, for example when smb behaves in a very stupid way and refuses to do this or that and tells some very very stupid things to distract your attention?

Well, the correct spelling of that is “Halt’s Maul” (which literally translates to hold (the) mouth [Maul= mouth of an animal])

It’s considered borderline vulgar — perhaps “slang”, but not *totally* indecent…

Funny thing is, if someone looked up “Hals”, they would of course find it to be “neck” and might be *entirely* mislead… :D
