Love help: I need a cheap flight, no matter how horrible. - Help.com

I need a cheap flight, no matter how horrible.

I’ve posted before about needing to get to Korea, but for a different apporach, I want to know if anyone knows where to get cheap as hell flights. I don’t care how uncomfortable, how long, how many stopovers, how safe the plane, or when it leaves (i want to go asap, but when doesn’t matter). Can anyone help? Do you know where I could find such a flight?

The only money I have to spend is about $800 left on my credit card. Otherwise I am broke. Since I also need to get an emergency passport (about $300, unless someone knows how to get that cheaper, too) I guess I’m looking at about $500

And you’re in the states? If so, what state? I’ll try to look online for info when I get a response.

See if you can get a job with a courier service. A lot of times they pay you to fly packages around the world. (So I’ve heard.)

I live in Missouri (Saint Louis County, specifically). I appreciate the help, let me know if there’s anything I can do for you.

Why are you paying so much for a passport?

http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/…

$100. And the expedited thing is nonsense. From what I’ve read from other people lately, the turnaround time is 2 weeks, even without the expedited service.

You’re not going to get it faster than that though, even if you do choose to pay the $60 for expedited service.

Might as well use that to your advantage and see if you can get a cheaper flight since you’re planning ahead at least two weeks.

I’m sorry I can’t wait so long for your replies. I have other stuff to do with my day.
Good luck.

Less than 5 minutes for a reply on a little-known website is blazingly fast. You’re kind of rude. :(

No ya dolt - I was talking to the poster. First time it took him 20 minutes to answer my question, second time it took 10 before I said Enough.

the $300 is for a 48 hour passport. I need to get to korea asap. though the official statement is 2 or more weeks, I had a friend get one in 5 days, but he had to pay abour $200 (I know for a fact that this actually happened). He says I can get one in 2 days for about $300 (don’t know if it’s true yet, but i’ll trust it for now… in any case I can get the one in 5 days). I’m sorry to chameleon for not answering the posts quickly; i’ve been making phone calls and searching other places on the web to try to figure something out so i’ve been a little distracted. in any case, for you or for anyone else interested, I am looking for any kind of ticket (round trip or one-way). I of course will need to get back, but if all I can get is one way I’ll figure out how to get back later.

Oh, I didn’t know you could get a passport that quickly.

As for the flight, I don’t think it’s going to be possible. A quick look on some cheap-airfare pages suggests that if you need to go immediately, it’s going to cost at least $2000, assuming a flight from New York to Seoul. If you could put it off until, say, Tuesday August 12, you could cut that down to $1005. (round trip, returning Sep 30) http://www.bt-store.com/default.asp

I’ve just got to ask, though… what happened that’s so urgent?
