Thought help: So I have red hair, I’m thinking about dyeing it black. - Help.com

okay, dont do black. do a dark brown. if you dont like it will be easier to get out. and first just have the stylist dye it with out the highlights. (i really cant see the highlights looking good with such a dark color)

a dark brown would look nice. and more natural. :]

well, make sure you go to a goooood stylist. because it will take alot to make the blonde highlights blonde. it might come a caramel or a light reddish color. and also talk to the stylist. they will know what color will look good and what wont.

What colour eyebrows do you have? If you have very fair eyebrows and you dye your hair black it may look slightly silly. However you can always get your eyebrows tinted if necessary! :) Chances are your hairdresser won’t turn your hair black straight away, because sometimes you need an inbetween colour before you go darker or only a semi rather than a full head. Just ask your stylist what he/she thinks about the idea. If they think it will look ridiculous chances are it probably will. I’m sure you’ll make the right decision though :D

One thing you should know, no matter what color it is, hair dye tears up your hair. I’ve died mine 4 times in the past few years, and it’s always really dry and whatnot afterwards. I take really good care of my hair.

my mum and aunty are hairdresseres- i would dye your hair a dark brown- GET THE HIGH LIGHT FIRST, because they will go ginger on top of dark brown/black hair dye. :)

I know that if you change red hair to blond it will be horrible, it can tear out your hair. Actually blond for a guy is just not cool, only if your gay then it looks hot
