Poem - The Assiant

Part I

Sitting up as the bleak morning light from the window hits my forehead
5:00AM cooed the silent amber alarm clock
Tic tock Tic Tock
The clicking of a gun
The bullet passes through the his head like a hot knife thorugh butter
Thick blood clots around the lifeles corpse
Lightly, i set the gun down and cry

Part II

Blankets conver the body
Too scared to face this beast
Retreat
Hide
Run
Retreat
I see the river of blood flowing thorugh the white linion
The stains of blood are but puddles to the stains of my soul

Part III

Too deep to ever surface
Too engulded to ever pull free
Too entangled to ever budge
Too fragile to ever break
Yet somehow, i do
