go to a doctor and get diagnosed. it’s really the best way to know if somethings wrong, plus you want to know just in case

I agree that you should go back to your doctor. I have a few questions though. When you stopped taking your meds, did you notice a sudden huge change? If so was it positive or negative? Is there anything that you can do to take your mind off things? For example what do you enjoy doing?

Just go to your dr. If you do not have one where you live now. Talk to a friend and see who they would refer. I have moved far away from home and how much do I miss home. Specially latly. I am over 18 hours away from home. I have very little contact with my family too. I understand how you feel.

Do you have old friends/family where you’ve moved to? If not then that could be part of the problem. I moved a very long way away and one of my friends who’d also done this warned me that after the initial excitement has gone I could get depressed. When I first moved I forgot about what she said, but sure as hell after three months I started getting really, really homesick. I had made friends but the problem was just not being able to have any references to times past that hurt when trying to talk to people.

I’m not saying that you may not have a medical problem as well, especially if you’ve been diagnosed as bipolar before, but it is also a natural reaction to having a huge change in your life. Probably the best thing would also to be to talk to old friends about this and maybe a counselor if you can find someone.

I battled depression for several years, and I think the best thing you can do is go back to a doctor. Maybe it’s just the new city excitement wearing off, but I wouldn’t take the risk that it’s something more serious and long term. There’s really nothing to lose and everything to gain by talking to a professional about it.

I don’t know if you would need meds for this, because it seems that it’s only because you’ve moved away. You may just need time to get adjusted. GIve it some time and if it’s not better, than go to your doc. Good luck
