It has been a long road and i am young.

Experiance of liveing makes that the way for every one i think.

I am currently stuck in a hard spot my parents are dyeing. One has got early on set altimers(my father). My mother has TIA (mini strokes). She is not the same woman who raised me now. I was liveing in New Orleans till hurican Katrina doing okay for myself in the Art world. i was a gallery administrator along with a host of other things in the creatve field spent time working on floats all sorts of goodies.
After the storm i got a job with a big box company as Security consultant. yea i now big leap. I hated them and the time i spent being directed to destroy basicly good people for the gain of this company.
I quit.
now i am stuck at home with my parents i am way to old to be here. They are dyeing and i cant save them and its eating me.I have decied that while they are still able to care for them selves that i need to try again to live. i dont realy want to some most days. I am realy not sure where to head. And praying for a miracle. An oportunity.
I guess this a prayer more than a plea , but I am stuck in the gutter and cant see any oprotunites left.
how do you wake from this dream @,@

Genuinely, I think its your responsibility to stay with your parents.
But its really difficult for you too I think.

I guess what’s probably going to be most useful for you is to decide on a long term plan which you can stick to.
I mean this is the nicest possible way - you’ve got a great opportunity to develop your powers of empathy, understanding and compassion, and though it will ‘eat’ you considerably, it will not destroy you.

I guess its going to be really important for your spiritual development - and it already sounds like you have a fantastic basis for your own path in life -

i agree with anonymous ur parents r ur responsibility just like ur parents changed ur diaper, fed u, rock u to sleep, hold u and bathe u everything a parent does so u have to give something back

- and I don’t feel sorry for you really - its just a hard road you have to travel. There are lots of hard roads out there, and there are lots of tough people.

The people I feel sorry for are the ones with no responsibiities, no link to anything they care about, no reason to fight for something.

These people are universally the weakest, often lack discipline and rarely accomplish anything of merit -
