do wolves have fleas?

i’ve recently wondered that…because a wolf pack will regularly groom each other, and they are clean animals, even though they live outside. i could see a sick, lone wolf having fleas, but not wolves in a pack. i dunno, what do you guys think?

Well i really dont know, but i think they do if a pack of wolves arent there to groom them. Then again some birds eat fleas and other irritating bugs that bother animals. In the wild everything works together.

The answer malori sources is good, but a little misunderstood. Animals in the wild can get parasites. Generally things that live in the wild have some natural immunity, but parasites are a generally spread in the wild too. Humans have all kinds of flea collars and flea pills and shampoos, etc. There are all kinds of myths about this or that species of animal being immune to disease and parasites. I think crocodiles are generally immune to most bacteria, but I digress.

I’m sure wolves living in a pack are more likely to have fleas as they are more likely to spread amongst the whole pack. Perhaps not in the very cold parts as fleas lay their eggs wherever animals lie down, but there is no special immunity that wolves have.
