Then open up paint, and go to edit->paste.

I think i know whats goin on. For a while i thought it was just the same anon posting different stories for attention until I realized that I saw it before. I had that same anon avatar when I first posted anonymous and it changed. So i think that its just the default anon until the help.com computer generates a new anon avatar.

It’s the default tile given to people. Check back on those posts, has the tile changed?

It means that the anon system is poorly coded, I think..

Sonmetimes if you quote an anon, it shows their username in you quote box, the system is buggy.

Because most anons don’t know how the site works, they expect to be emailed answers…

Nope, just seems that way, as the system often shows that tile, and you just remember the ones that don’t reply.

When I thought that, I told off a poor anon who had the tile. He responded confused, and the the tile on the post changed.

no, I remember one time the purple anon answered for the first time, after I was getting frustrated. I called him a troll, and he responded, saying “oh i just typed help in google” yada yada…
So I’m pretty sure that /that/ was a real person with a real problem.
But that’s the only occasion in which purple anon replied to me.

All that shows is that anons rarely reply, nothing more.

anons don’t get the site, they put in an email, post it as anon, but in replies they don’t check the anon box, they reply, there just not very good with the site.

I’ve been wondering about that person too. some of them the anon will change after a while but most of them do not. I think this person is a spammer.

yeah, that’s kinda what I was trying to say, just couldn’t figure out the words.

If it was a spammer, don’t you think the mods would have linked the pattern together?

It’s not a spammer.

Maybe a mod would look into it for us and tell us if it’s the same user with the purple anon today? We aren’t asking to tell us who it is of course, just if it’s the same user and playing with our heads.

Because they are different people, which the system foolishly gives the same tile!

If every computer has its own anon symbol then there is no other explanation other than this person is a troll or spammer.

Because it’s a default!

It doesn’t always change!

I have checked up on this person and most of the time the symbol does not change!

We do need a mod in here to clear this up. If we’re pouring our attention and help to a spamming liar, then other posts where people need help are getting less attention and we really need to know if purple anon is wasting our time.

And if it does change it changes within the first few min of being posted. this doesn’t happen with any other symbol so it makes me suspicious. I agree with you chameleon. that is what worries me

yes, that’s what I’m thinking. You’d think that, if they weren’t the same person, it would have changed by now. Especially since the more recent purple anon post changed icons.

You see the purple avatar so much because it is the default setting of Help.com. (in my humble opinion.) It gets changed if the person verifies to their own, unique avatar, even if it is just an anon avatar. That got me at first, but now I’m used to it and ignore the purple one! ;)

LOL - I went to quote Anubis and say that makes sense, but I hit the Send Reply button instead and it said - “You might want to try posting some text with the next reply, cowboy.”

ireland, I don’t think that’s exactly correct…all the links given here have almost nothing to do with each other, and most of them were posted right after another purple anon post. Two people can’t be on one computer at the same time without knowing what the other person is doing on the computer.

There is way more than two people though. They have been posts made by a young girl a young boy an older man a pregnant girl, an older woman. Because I thought of that option and it is just not so. I know it’s one anon per computer but it would have to be like 8 different people who would sign on and off right after each other 30 times a day.

Well its possible that it could be a family with only one computer…There was a time when my house had only one computer and everyone would rush to get on as soon as someone got off. You never know…It could be a mother, a father, a teenage daughter (Whos pregnate) And two younger kids. But im confused on why the tile doesnt change. My changes at least every month or so.
