friends help: I am really lonely. - Help.com

i dont know to really meet people but im kinda shy to, i find my friends at school, really i just listen to peoples convo.s (im kinda nosey too (=C)) and pare them up with what my personality is like… ill be your friend! its ok with me you can add me!

School sounds like a very big option. :)
If you get really involved, like in clubs and whatnot.
Then you’ll get around to a lot of people.

I would say the mall as well.
But you can never trust too many people these days.

I’ve been in the hung for a very long time. Still no leads but I now some great places.
You say intellectual people heres what I’d recommend.
Library- the place of knowledge itself
Music shows- Many people enjoy music its fun and expressive
Local Events- like carnivals, fairs and things of that nature.
Museums- find a museum that you like and go there you should find people who have a common interest.

Thats to name a few good places now the real challenge is how to approach a person which is what I still can’t figure out.

In my first year in University I was looking for some new friends, and I got them, even though I am not very sociable and generally a cold person. How?

I joined a club with a smaller number of members. Whats more, is that I then became an executive in said club to get myself out there and force myself to interact with new people.

So join groups, put yourself into positions where you have to talk to people. Get a job in a social setting. Join a club. Play a sport.
