The D in Deception

Hi. I just got scammed today. I clicked an ad offering a post office job of $20 per hour, 57,000 a year in salary, without experience or anything of that sort.

They told me about a test, if I pass it, I can get the job. The test preparation materials fee is about $120 dollars. They ask for your credit card information and charges you as you speak to the consultant.

It’s a post office scam. Beware. I learned it the hard way. I lost $120 dollars. I was just an average joe desperate for dough.

Means less hacking if people just give the information to them. :(
Sorry ’bout your luck.

This cracks me up warren. I’ll elaborate…

Months ago I was looking through the paper for jobs and saw an add for the post office job, I called to get more info. They told me that there were positions open in my area and that Ill I needed to do is pass the postal battery exam and they would provide the study materials $130. I bought it cause they said your money isn’t going to waste cause [if you fail the test you can return it with your money back, and if you test and pass, you have 2 weeks to get your money back] I liked my odds, then I found out the the real gov. contacts that there were no positions open anywhere near my area. So I can’t get my money back cause there is no test for me to take so I can’t pass of fail…

$130 down the drain…. I still have that stupid book. There pretty smart with those scams aren’t they.

Yeah Dan. I’m going to bank tomorrow to issue a fraud alert and change credit cards.

I don’t know about the police or building a case against them. I don’t have a card, and I doubt I’d probably win. I love detective work but I’m too poor to hire an investigator or start an investigation myself.

There are agencies that fight against these punks like CyberCops. I seriously went to the bathroom earlier daydreaming of getting the scammer in my hands and kicking his behind.

On top of that, you should’ve heard the scammer on the phone. Oh my gosh. The tone of it! He’s like, “HAVE A GREAT EVENING SIR!” LOL. After that, I figured it was a scam, and I looked it up to find my intuitive valid.
