Love help: Yesterday - Help.com

Yesterday

I was just listening to some Frank Sinatra and I think a lot of people can relate to this song. It was originally made famous by the Beetles, but Mr. Sinatra did a cover of it which was so moving. Here are the lyrics, Enjoy.

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now they look as though they’re here to stay,
Oh I believe in yesterday,
Oh I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly I’m not half the man I used to be.
There’s a shadow hanging over me,
Oh yesterday came suddenly.

Why she had to go I don’t know, she wouldn’t say.
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday.
Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away, oh I believe in yesterday.

Why she had to go I don’t know, she wouldn’t say.
I said something wrong , now I long for yesterday.
Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away, oh I believe in yesterday.

it’s so bittersweet hearing you mourn like this.
i want to help you but i feel inadequate.
i want to take away all the pain that horrible girl heaped onto to you.
after a few breif conversations with you i know without a doubt that you are an amazing man who deserves someone to appreciate that.
hugs and appreciation
mal

Thanks malori, I appreciate it. The thing was, she was never horrible like that until recently, but sh!t happens I guess. Don’t feel inadequate, there’s no reason to. You’re there for me to talk at :P haha, so I thank you for that. Thanks for enjoying the lyrics, it’s a gorgeous song.

There’s another song I like, which brings to me the same emotion this song does (without the fact that “Yesterday” is a classic and timeless)
It’s called ‘Just Perfect’ by Ryan Montbleau

Hang in there :)

Life goes on my amigo! You just keep on riding! My grandpa used to say: “Son, when you fall of your horse, it’s not the end of the world; get up, dust yourself off, get back on that horse and keep on riding. New horizons are always within sight.”

I love the beatles. Sinatra is mediocre compared to them. Love the song though!

I’m trying dude :) thanks for the words of support. Jes sometimes I get a little overwhelmed and I can’t help myself since she was such a big influence on my life and whatnot. I have my ups and downs lol but I’m doing all right.

I know what you’re saying Rowass :) but they’re two completely different genres so I don’t really judge them like that. I love Sinatra for his jazz and smooth swing and I love the Beetles for pretty much everything they represent. I just love music :)

I love the lyrcis…you know who they remind me of? YOU! So it’s always good when you can listen to music…idk about everyone else, but sad songs make me feel better instead of sad because it makes me feel like I’m not alone in feeling that way…so just know that Frank Sinatra and about a million other people have gone through this, but I doubt any of them have handled it as well as you have, so keep up the great work! Good luck!

i love that song and though i can not relate to it i get emotional (in a way) when it comes on. i always hoped no one would be able to relate to it but i see they can and i feel very sorry for the people who can.
