Sounds like an abscess. Tell your dentist right away.

i went to the dentist yesterday he didnt see anything,

but i didnt find it until after i went

could it appear in 6 hours?

Yes I believe it could.

I’ve had an abscess and they can turn horribly painful fast.

what did your abscess look like?

A swollen bubble on my gum.

was it from wisdom teeth> or surgery?

It was from a cavity that I had filled and then the gum abscessed above that tooth after that. :/

but its on the side, its not like it covered anything

Yeah mine was too. It’s cause your roots go way up inside your gums (or down on your lower jaw).

what did they do?

Put me on antibiotics. And vicodin for the pain.

did they but you on penicillen?

No it was amoxicillin I think.

well they gave me extra penicillan when they first subscribed the meds to me, should i go back on it?

I would definitely let your dentist know that you have what could be an abscess. He needs to know. He might call in a prescription for more antibiotics or he might want to see you.
