of course, you’re scared to tell her. that’s natural. she’s important to you, and even though she’ll be understanding, this is big news. it would be easier to tell someone who doesn’t know you as well - b/c with her there’s this big incongruity: she knows you so well, but not about this.

why don’t you make an opening for yourself. tell her in an email or even in conversation that you have something difficult but important to tell her. then she’ll be very open and she’ll make it easier for you.

She is your sister and she will accept you whatever it is you are about to tell her.

ok but do you think I should wait till I actually get back to school and feel more comfortable with myself and when I tell other people I don’t know that well that I’m gay. I mean I want to tell people but it just scary.

It is normal to feel scared when you open up to other people, don’t just budge and tell them that you are day, certainly it only include perfect timing! :) choose a time when people are ready to listen, when you feel that they can be approached with less with less tension.

You choose the time. All they gotta do is listen. :)
