If that doesn’t work then you’ll need to go to Tools>Options and under cookies, go to Show cookies, then Remove all Cookies in the window that pops up.

Also it would be helpful to know if you use any extensions or add-ons that may interfere with the way firefox acts.

Do a search on google for a program called pspv or find it here:-
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/pspv.html

run it (and its not a virus) it will show you all stored passwords on your pc just delete them all after you note them down on a bit of paper.

firefox will need to ask again for the passwords and type in the right one …….

then throw bit of paper on fire lol

I dont save any of my passwords on this computer.

cookies will store passwords and you wont know it till you clear them out each month , we do clear them out regularly I hope? When you revisit a page it will prompt for password again……

okay for all of those you need to login so at some point you WILL need to log in so you WILL have a username and password , the problem with windows is if you user a user name of say ritchie on all 3 sites but different passwords it wont know what password to use for each user name on each site and will try and use either the first one or last one which dependant on the site you try could be right or wrong
