Money help: I’m embarking on a run across America. - Help.com

I’m embarking on a run across America.

I’m going out on a run aross the United States from New Jersey to San Francisco and I’m doing it solo (with communication by cellphone and with stops along the way, of course.) I’m going out on this journey and am very thrilled for the idea– does anyone have any advice to offer me? :) I’m going to be bringing adequate supplies– rice, money, ponchos, tents, sleeping bags, etc. and anymore ideas listed are appreciated. :)

Sounds like an adventure! My friend used to road bike across the states and thoroughly enjoyed it! It ended up leading to other biking and hiking adventures around the globe.

There are some websites or blogs about some people who have run across America where you might find some more information…

get one of those ultra absorbant towels. they are really small and light, but absorb like absolutely anything. a little big expensive though…i think i got mine for £9-12 (pounds).

obviously, COMFY SHOES! very important. are you ok running in the rain? what about baking heat? are you tenting? you’ll need a good torch for that then.

obvious as well but don’t take too much. do you think you will need things like batteries (for the torch or whatever)…sorry i really wanna be more help but thats all i can think of. good luck!

I suggest you also get an ipod with a couple thousand songs to soundtrack your trip across the country. Also bring a camera to keep people posted on your locations online. You should start a website to do the 2nd one.

Happy trails!
:]
