Does anyone here make / need a website?
If so, I would like to know what are some things that you would like to be easier for making a website. I am currently developing software to build websites. Your suggestions will be greatly valued!! =)

Thanks, I have a lot of that included. It has a drag-and-drop interface with PHP and a bunch of one line functions to do anything you can think of, also, it is infinitely expandable. Do you have anymore suggestions? =)
easily programmable rollovers buttons that utilize CSS on hover instead of plain old javascript.
Great idea! Do you mean as in CSS Sprites?
It is not released yet.
I am not sure about that. I just make mine from scratch. It would be nice if you could just click on a table cell and define it as a CSS button. Then assign the names of the images and the CSS classes and stuff are taken care of in the files.
Ok, It wont necessarily be Divs or tables, rather it will be whatever a designer puts in. It is simple, easy, one step installation, and editing is in line. This way a designer can make a website for a client and it will act as a template.

while we’re on the topic, i’v heard of these cites where everytime someone enters it the cite makes a little money. is it possible to make one of these cites for a profit????
Yes. Any kind of advertising website. My company is building a whole network of them to release this year and next. Have any ideas for one?
maybe if your apart of some affiliate network and you are getting a few cents for each person that comes by. You need a lot of traffic to even make a time bit of money off of it.
you are better off learning how to engage in e commerce and finding a novel way to use it I think.
Who know though, I have never tried to do any of that sort of marketing stuff with the pennies.
One of the guys I went to school with got into that and in the end he wants to become a mechanic because of all the stress and bs that come with all those sites

not really, im just trying to find ways of making money…since im pretty low on cash right now. how do you set one up?
You have to design, develop, and market your site to thousands of people.
how much traffic do you need to make real money off of the little banner ads and stuff?
Ballpark, # of people, # of cash
50,000,000 Page Impressions / month * $30.00 per 1000 page impressions = 1.5 Million Dollars / Month for constant ads
Oh hey, guess what, apache.org just came out with Apache 2.2.9 on the 14 of june.
It now has openssl as part of a msi package. Thats sweet
yup, i have it running on my server
that is a lot of impressions… what is your company or website?
Well our first Large Scale community website is in Alpha and will have a Beta Release next month. (btw. most Large Scale Communities get 100,000,000 Page impressions / month if successful)
well good luck, i hope everything goes well.
Thank you. Would you like me to notify of the release of my CMS? Maybe I could give you a free commercial license for the help…
sure - do you want to send me a message through here or something? I also have an account on youtube
I dont want to type my email into a public page. I have been really careful about that and I get little to no junkmail
Another thing that would be handy is the ability to move folders around and have the program be able adjust the symlinks on the fly in all the sites files
Ok, i added you as a friend if you want to let me knwo whats up when the time comes.
I am off to bed.
