life help: Who are you? - Help.com

Who are you?

Do you even know? Do you know what it is you like, what you do not? Do you know how you will act in any given situation? Do you know why you believe in what you believe? Do you have control over your actions, thoughts and emotions? I bet none of you can claim to say yes to most or any of these questions. Why is that? Why do dive into the world of trying to “help” others when in reality we can’t even identify the solutions to our own struggles. I like to look at our lives as giant puzzles. Every day, life gives us new pieces to put into our lives, to expand it, to improve it, to show the true picture of who we are. Yet many of us take those pieces and just force them to fit where ever they can, destroy them or force them on others. There is no understanding, there is no organization and as a result the picture of our lives looks ugly and horrible. Take a moment today and look at your life picture. If you cannot see what it is then you need to stop and look at what is wrong with it. Are you only expanding in one direction? Imbalance in your life misshapes your image and hides what you need to see in order to understand it. Take a moment to learn what areas of your life need fixing and developed and try as hard as you can to learn on your own. Maybe then we can learn enough about our selves that we can help others place their own pieces.

Actually, very comfortable with my life and who I’m…don’t get me wrong, there is LOTS of room for improvement, but the desire to improve is there!

People are constantly evolving. When we are young we can’t do things for ourselves and rely on others to do them for us. When we get a little older we tend to think about what we want and are somewhat self centered (teenagers, not all). When we become parents we put others (our children) before ourselves and become more caring towards not only our children, but, the world in general. Life is a never ending learning cycle. If we do not evolve we are stagnant. No growth. We all need to give up fear based emotions and do our best and help others. Do no harm. That’s what I believe.

maybe sometimes people know about me and understand me more than i do myself, because of that i think i should listen to their advice.

at the same time, when it comes to me advising people or trying to help them, maybe i have a similar experience that i’ve gone through and understand what they don’t see yet, or maybe i can see something they don’t
