Possibly developing and Eating Disorder

- i have a fear of putting on weight
- i weigh myself everyday.
- i think about making myself vomit and have done in the past
- i always see all the fat on me
- i am constantly thinking about how fat i am.
- i refuse to eat certain foods
- i know nearly all the calories that are in the foods I eat
- i sit in school and add the calories up in which I have eaten
- i’ve taken laxatives
- drinking diet coke because it only has 1 calorie in it
- hating myself if I eat to much
- eating anything over 1000 calories and feel a failure
- I won’t eat if I go out any where
- I’ll weight myself when I am at a friends house
- i’ll refuse to wear shorts because i look to fat in them
- i’m starting to refuse sweets people give out
- keep watching diet programs to get me motivated
- not eating at school only at home
-Going out so I don’t have to eat
-Reading and trying diets

You definitely listed some characteristics for an eating disorder so maybe you should go to a doctor and see what they have to tell you.
Eating disorders are very serious and can negatively impact one’s life as well as those around them. Try not to read every website you find about eating disorders and let the professionals evaluate you themselves.
Otherwise, you may get too caught up in it and all the research you’ve done on your own can actually impact your health in a bad way.

Just make an appointment with your doctor.

well it sounds like you do have a problem already. my advice to you is to seek treatment ASAP! because this disease can grip someone with great force and take over their entire life. my sister has been struggling with this for nearly 9 years and it only seems to get worse. So please go talk to a doctor or someone you trust and get help right away. although thats not always the easiest thing to do. its very important to do this before it gets worse. keep your head up and try to stay focus on pushing away from this disease.

I think the biggest step here is actually realizing that something might be wrong. Some people just go through life thinking that it’s okay to eat a pea once a week and call that eating, or throwing up every day or binge eating without thinking about if anyone else ever does these things. If you’re concerned for yourself, it might do you well to talk to someone, someone that’s out of anyone who you know like a guidance counselor or a school nurse or something. It might all be stress related as well. You also might just be suffering from a slight case of parinoia because of the fear of things such as one calorie getting to you. Your best bet is to talk to someone, maybe even a professional, and they can give you advice and help you realize that not all food is bad :) and just because you eat something doesn’t mean you’re a bad person! People need to eat to live after all, keeps us alive.

yeah, uh, hunny, there’s no one, not even a doctor i think, who can really help you.
help starts with you.
YOU.
YOU.
YOU.
if you’re truly overweight, that’s one thing.
but there are a lot of girls who read too many magazines and become paranoid that they’re fat.
the girls in magazines are photoshopped, if you haven’t noticed, m’dear.
people take the pictures into photoshop and make them look skinnier.
it’s true.
and it hurts a lot of girls.
anyway…
i am a very blunt person but i’m not trying to be rude.
shut up and get over yourself, kiddo.
no one cares about how you look.
you’re not going to find a good husband that way.
you’re not going to find good friends that way.
how you look is not going to effect how you go about life, it’s how you carry yourself.
in college, yes, you are going to have to be classy and dress nice.
you’re going to have to PAY ATTENTION rather than add up calories.
you’re going to have to present yourself in a classy way.
but whether or not your fat has nothing to do with it.
i’m guessing that you AREN’T fat, you’re just paranoid.
but it really has nothing to do with who you are.

i do some of the things that you listed, but i make sure never to throw up or take laxatives or anything like that. when you look in the mirror, do NOT look at your body, look at your face and how pretty you are. when people talk to you they do not look at your body, they look at your face. that will help you feel good about yourself.

ask poeple you trust if they really think you have a weight problem (ask them to tell you the truth), and if someone says they think you do then i think watching th amount of calories you eat and eating healthy is not a bad thing. but if they sound surprised at the question then u dont have a weight problem and you should just learn to feel good about yourself and forget the rest.
