I need ideas on how to style my hair which i’m cutting to my shoulders?

I’m going to cut my long hair which i always have back, to about my shoulders maybe a little lower.

I need some ideas on how i should get it cut.
i will most likely be straitening my hair with a blow dryer or an hair straightener but i want some simple styles i can do that are easy and quick.

some one suggested getting it cut in layers because it would not frizz or poof as much since i have some what poofy curly hair. And i have an oval shaped face.

what do you all suggest?
How should i get it cut?
What are some simple styles i can do afterwords?

Oval face shape is perfectly symmetrical so you can wear any length or style. Now you just have to decide what fits YOUR personality. Most hairdressers get to know their clients through a consultation and then they can help them figure out what will suit their lifestyle and personality. A lot figures in to what will suit your lifestyle, for example: How much time do you have to style your hair each day, What kinds of activities do you do on a regular basis, if you are working, going to school, etc. do you have to wear your hair a certain way? What is your style like, classic, modern, retro, goth etc. It would be very hard to give you any ideas until you reveal much more about yourself. A picture would probably help a lot also! thanks this helped alot, well i dont want to spend much time in the morning, and i want something simple, i play sports so i still need to be able to put it back, and thats the only real requirement. As for my style, my personality is kind of punkish gothish, but ive never really considered a hair style for it. Im somewhat shy, so i dont want something that would get a lot of attention. im not sure what else to reveal about my self ^_^
