Anyone know anything about down comforters?

I might buy one but Im unsure… Heres the Description:

This luxurious Ralph Lauren comforter is a classic white with no pattern or embroidery. The auction is for a full/queen and measures 86 inches by 86 inches. The comforter is 100% cotton with goose down fill and machine washable. Luxury at its best.

525 - 575 Fill Power

Ecopure Hypoallergenic Polar Goose Down

14″ Baffle Box Construction to Prevent Shifting

Upon inspection, no flaws were found.

This is a brand new select irregular direct from the manufacturer. Select irregulars may have minor flaws in the weaving, dying, printing or sewing. The quality of wear is not affected, and in most cases the flaw will not even be noticeable. Tags may be cut to prevent store returns.

They want $60.00 plus $12.00 S+H. Is this a good deal and a decent comforter? I need something that doesnt get super hot and I know nothing about fill powers so Im unsure about buying it. My father is of no help on the topic and yet doesnt wanna pay for something that might not be good -_-… any help is great, thanks

They’re extremely warm, or can be, I have a 3 season one, which is still WAY warm in the summer. :(

A duvet makes a huge difference. Overstock.com Is where I bought my 1st 2nd 3rd down comforter. You can get one relatively inexpensively. I always get a king, but that means a VERY expensive duvet. Thing is I like snuggling with mine. I have a queen sized bed, and I share it, so sometimes when it’s really cold I tend to wrap myself up.

We’ve found in the summer, that having a sheet and intermediate heavy cotton spread keeps you warm but comfortable—I think it’s because of the layers.
