I actually got my braces in the 7th grade, so you’re not alone!
And you shouldn’t worry about how you look with braces, usually it isn’t that bad.
Most kids at my school actually have braces right now, so it’s like a “cool fad”! xD

And think about the end product.
Your teeth will look SO GOOD when you finally get them off! :]

I don’t get the thing about 7th grade…is that too young or too old?

my sister got braces in the 8th grade and my mom got them then, too. so don’t worry You won’t look all that different.

You’ll totally get used to them after a while.
And 7th grade is not bad at all!!
I work with people who are 30+ and have braces. I’m 22 and thinking about getting them
They are totally worth it from what I’ve seen. Best get it over with before it gets too late or you have to have them for senior prom!!! :D

Ok, braces suck but not the way they make people look. THEY HURT. You should be more worried about the pain then the looks! You will look so much better when they come off. I have braces right now and I look better already. Don’t worry too much, nobody can really make fun of you for having braces, many people have them. It’s a prat of life. But I do give you permission to worry about the pain ^_^

I got braces in 8th grade.
You are not gonna look so different.
So, don’t worry about it.

omg i had braces too…oh the pain! oh the misery! oh the humiliation!
okay, really? it wasn’t too bad.

yes it was quite painful…
yes i felt miserble in them…
but no i wasn’t humiliated! everyones getting them nowadays. my older sisters got them! she’s….gosh, she’s 25! and she’s got ‘em. and she doesn’t look too bad to be honest. it’s not all that bad.

and once you got them in, it does feel quite weird, because you’ve got a huge chunk of metal in your gob, but you’ll get used to it.
they’re not too bad…not as bad as you expect. and you’ll definitely get used to them and when they come out you’ll feel weird, and you’ll look weird too…but then you’ll get used to normality again and you can live the rest of your life with a dazzling hollywood smile. =D just think of the paprazzi following you around with their flashing cameras asking “where’d ya get ya teeth from?! they’re gorgeous! give us a smile, love!” you’ll be darn right glad you got these braces, trust me.

you know, the usual overly dramatic stuff us teenagers come out with nowadays…lol.

I had my braces in the 6th grade, and I loved them! I had wished though, that I had the metal ones, I got Porcelin, which… 3 broke. but it was okay. Now my teeth are really nice! Im glad to have gotten them! And! Every month, you get a new set of rubber bands on them, of the colors of your choice! Its wicked fun. I had Black and Orange for Halloween, and Red and Green for Christmas, and for just anytime, Usually blue and white, or Blue and purple. Its pretty cool. It hurts a little when they tighten them, but its nothing a little tylonol wont fix. Also, Mine were cool, I learned to wistle a high pitch whistle throug the frount wire? Bothered my teachers to no extent. lol! Enjoy them, they are nice to have. Im thinking of getting them again, I have one tooth out of place, only because the last year I had them, I tightened them and cleaned them myself cause I couldnt get to a orthodontist. They came out rather nice but that one tooth, so make sure you go to the dentist when your saposed to. Dont worry dont worry, its not a really big thing. I had a boyfriend when I got mine, I thought that he would hate me, but no one even noticed. No one will call you names, or make fun of you. I loved mine. :D Made my teethies all pretty!

i have braces and they suck

ive had my top ones on for 3 months and i just got my bottom ones on 2 days ago…. if you get them on at the same time your teeth are going to hurt.. but i got them on at different times so my teeth dont hurt as much… i still cant eat a lot of hard things because my teeth hurt… im not trying to scare you or anything

I had mine for 4 years. I had to take them off myself, so I still have little spots on certin teeth that have glue on them, its okay, you cant see it, and I have gotten used to it. But yea! I really did like mine. Ask your mom for the metal ones! Not porcelin! I was saposed to have mine for 3 years, but my mom never did what she was saposed to do…. siiiigh. But they still look wicked good! My fangs, they were up pretty far, but now they look normal and are down where I need them. :D

just because you have braces doesnt mean that guys wont like you… i had a boyfriend while i had mine on and it didnt bother him… i still chew gum but i wont for the next week because i just got my bottom ones on..

Dont delay! If you do, you can always pop the rubber bands off too, and take the wire off, and clean them that way too. Helped me. But Go TO YOUR APPOINTMENTS!! :D Yea, Mine were nice though. I chewed gum with mine on, they sometimes got stuck, but came off well. Dont drink alot of soda, when they come off, your teeth will have little white squares and off white around them. Thats what they told me. didnt hapen though.

nah, they don’t look good, they’re not actually invisible. thats quite impossible lol. i think what that is, is the bands are colourless, i.e. they’re clear. but you still see the metal…

its called invisalign…

my friend had them and they worked just as good as braces would… but they cost soo much more money

no…. they’re clear and they just go over your teeth… it makes your teeth look bigger

it always depends mostly on if your insurance covers it
