home help: I just purchased a new home and the home is pre-wired for surround sound and it also has speakers in multiple rooms of the home to listen to music. - Help.com

I just purchased a new home and the home is pre-wired for surround sound and it also has speakers in multiple rooms of the home to listen to music.

Can anyone tell me the best type of receiver for this.

I was told a multi-room receiver, or I could just get a speaker switch controller. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I asked my husband and he says that he agrees that a multi-room receiver or duplex receiver is going to give you the most bang for the buck because you’ll be able to have different audio in different rooms at the same time all from one simple control.
Hope that helps.
