does any one know how to stop dreaming of something particular?

well, if you want to know more, this is the story. i keep on dreaming of my best friend. i have feelings for him and i talked to him about it, he told me he didn;t and he was really nice. but now, even before i keep on having similiar dreams. it usually involves me being tortured, hurt watever and then him stabbing me in the heart, obviously killing me. i hate tthese dreams, and even thugh, after im awake i know it was just a dream it kinda scares me. he’s the nicest guy i have met in ages, and i don’t want to dream about him killing me or that i kill him. please if anyone noes an answer, PLEAse tell

Go, HelpBot! Go!

I guess find some way to occupy your thoughts with something completely unrelated to this. Maybe listen to your iPod or whatever while falling asleep?

A podcast, maybe? Or maybe drink heavily and pass out every night. The latter may or may not be sensible advice.

First all posts especially the first is valid…do not ignore if this is the case…
But this is my interpretation of your dream…
We dream in symbols, being creative our minds create images to communicate what we are feeling or dealing with, when we our awake.
Your feelings are hurt, like a broken heart that your best friend, doesn’t feel the same way as you do…but you are still best friends, and that’s great! Except this for now and maybe the dreams of hurt feeling will end…My guess is that you feel/emotions very deeply, so your dreams are going to be very intense at times…

ok, I’m no expert but the old home remedy for recurring dreams, particularly those that are unpleasant is to write them down immediately after they happen. However I think the dream may be a sign that you need to do some thinking about the situation. Perhaps this person is being hurtful to you in some way, or making your feel bad.
