The Perfect Life (Job)

I find easy money in restaurant chains like Pizza Hut in New Jersey. I do work for pizza hut and has been doing so for the past a year and half. My second job is illustration, logo, and banner design.

It hasn’t been easy. I have to deal with people I don’t want to deal with. At work, they tell me this is a family, so yeah…but I don’t think I’m part of it.

Why? I don’t know. It’s impossible for me to talk to these people at work. Don’t want to offend anyone but they talk so ghetto.

“You trying to gun son?” Guy asks me one day. Like what the hell does that mean.

It’s been terrible for me, living in a suburb in Madison, and now I’m in this town which is near the inner-cities Irvington, Newark, and Elizabeth
that has high crime rate and considered ghetto.

It’s a culture collision. I want out but I need money so I’m stuck in this restaurant.

it must be difficult to be the ‘minority’ however, even though you are obviously different to these people, it doesn’t mean they are bad people, or that you can’t get on. it may be difficult as first, but they are individuals just like everyone else. why not make an extra effort, until you move on?

which leads me to the moving on part. you can still job search whilst working, right? i mean, what do you want? do you wanna move house? jobs? city? it will be hard juggling everything but if you need to move you need to move. you don’t need to quit to instigate that.

also, it would help if you had someone to help you :)
