If I HAD to answer I guess I’d push it to….oh…about maybe 26. :/ Only because by then I’d start thinking something must be wrong.

There isn’t a “Too old.” Every person I’ve talked to has told me that they wished they’d waited for marriage to have sex. Just remember, it’s an act you can’t take back, and it’s a whole lot more specail when you share it with someone you’ll be together with forever.

My husband is the one I gave my virginity to and he’s always been grateful for that.
One of my sons has told me he won’t date girls that aren’t virgins. He won’t even consider a relationship with a girl that isn’t a virgin.
So holding out for the right guy is important to some men.

I know many people who have given their virginity as young as 13, and in my eyes, I don’t think they were ready one bit. They gave their virginity to boys who pushed themselves on these girls, boys who had, I must say with quite disgust, slept with a LOT of people. If I was one of those girls.. I would feel terrible. Like Sasquatch said, “you’re almost sure to lose something if you do it before you’re ready.” I think you will know when you’re ready.

I think 18 maybe 17 is a better time for losing your virginity. I myself don;t want to date someone who has had sex at a very young age. that just makes me think that they may have some STI by then. I dont want that.

Well the “Whenever it happens is right for you” theory is sweet and all, but I think this poster is asking for an opinion on when it’s become an abnormally long time without a woman losing her virginity (taking out the nun factor, etc).
That’s why I chose 26 (rather randomly) because I figured that if by 26 you haven’t had a serious enough relationship to have been intimate with each other, then maybe there’s something within the person that they’d like to address (assuming they’re unhappy with being a virgin still), like extreme shyness or social phobia or something. I don’t know. Just my babblings…
I’m not stuck on 26, I just chose that number. It could easily be 35. What do I know?

no age is too old. everyone is different, so its about when you are ready…

let me say this, for a girl or a woman or a boy and a guy it is not a sin for being a virgin, just be yourself and don’t ever matter about this issue and being virgin or losing it in any age is not specified it just happen when see and feel you have this special person to lose it and always remember how it was .

Losing your virginity isnt a race hon, its something youll never get back.Make sure the man that recieves it is special,when you look back on that moment you want to remember it lovingly not a rushed moment in a drunken stupor, which is how many people do believe it or not. You’ll know when the time is right, its yours to give away, a gift by nature. :-)

I don’t really know for a girl, how old it is to be a virgin, but upper thirties when nearing the age of not being able to reproduce, sounds pretty late. My self I’m a 20 yr old virgin, guy. Knowing myself I can only keep my nature under control till I’m 24 max. My major thing is that I don’t know if I will ever meet a girl who is a virgin, that isn’t a religious nut (no offense intended) or anything like that. Personally I also believe I’d be getting cheated going at it with a non-virgin girl; one person waits and the other waits is unfair to the waitee. To be honest your best bet is going for a shy guy like me, and not one of those guys all the ladies flock over, that way you’ll find a guy who will be as inexperienced as you and at least it’ll be a level battle-field, and if he’s a good guy things will work out. The biggest question though is how do you find out if your potential partener is a virgin or not! When do you ask, and how do you know they aren’t lying to get in your pants! And please don’t say go to church, because to me that would not be the right reason to start going again, I’ll probably begin again when I have kids way down the road.
