I’d be more scared at having no friends. No friendships are perfect, and it takes a lot of effort just to find a good friend. But that doesn’t mean I’d let people walk over me.
If you are the type of person who handles disputes well, its natural your friends may want to involve you. It means they value yout input, so take it as a compliment :)
But if you don’t want to be involved, tell your friends nicely you’d prefer to stay out of fights, as you don’t want to take sides. It doesn’t have to be a choice of putting up with things or losing your friends.

The friendships can evolve =)

Having no friends scares me the most. I agree with everything Cosmic Fool has said .My opinion is: Your friends may involve you because they value your opinion and your friendship and they want you to suport their truth. You must be very diplomatic, try to reason with both sides, and if they turn it against you tell them nicely you don’t want to be involved, and you’d rather remain impartial.

I’d rather have no friends than ones who fight all the time and drag me into it. Anyway, you can always come here if you feel sad. :)

BTW, just giving my opinion on me, not suggesting what you should do at all. Enjoy your friends. :)
