Citizen Journalism: Critical Mass Bicyclist Assaulted by NYPD — Is YouTube.COM really the “Voice of the People”?

“This video has been made possible by an anonymous tourist and members of Times Up, Glass Bead and Iwitness Collectives”

Original on YouTube.com

CNet reporter Greg Sandoval did a lengthy piece about this incident (and how YouTube.COM is shaping the “Citizen Journalism” landscape — see http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-1000... ) — but I wonder: would YouTube.COM publish *anything* (no, I think it in fact does not).

We must be careful before we begin to interpret YouTube.COM as “the *UNFILTERED* voice of the people” — IMHO, it isn’t.
