hmmm!
you should definitely do patterns.
the easiest would be to just buy blue and green paint and then get sponges and do polkadots.
if you’re going to paint your room colors like that, don’t pick bold, solid colors.
pick something like a yellow-green, and an aqua sort of blue.
it will fit better, trust me, and give your room a bigger feel to it.
i’d say, try to go with the same color scheme for your bathroom.
but if you can come up with something cool and better, that’s cool too.
just go to the store and buy whatever the heck you think is cool.
if you have shelves and stuff, paint them white.
that’ll look good against your blue and green.
if you have a store called Micheals or Linens n Things, or Bed Bath and Beyond, definitely go there for curtains.
you can probably find some awesome stuff there.
ikea too! definitely check out ikea.
as far as everything else goes, like your bed covers and maybe rugs and stuff, just get whatever you like.
it doesn’t necessarily have to match, just as long as you like it.
as far as pictures and stuff goes, don’t horde your walls with posters.
it looks tacky, in my opinion.
if you’re gonna have posters, put them in your closet.
but if you have pictures on your walls, like, ACTUAL pictures, definitely frame them.
another cool thing is to definitely include your friends in your room.
buy a big corkboard, you know? like those things that teachers have in their room.
not a HUGE one like that, but you can probably find a rather decent sized one somewhere.
well, get one, and put pictures of your friends up there.
another cool thing is to involve your friends when you paint and stuff.
invite your closest friends over and when you’re almost finished, dip your hands in paint and put your handprints on the wall, then let it dry, and if you’re good at writing with a brush, write your names under them.
if not, just use a sharpie.
other than that, yeah, it’s your space. stick whatever you want in there, it doesn’t have to match :D
