I would suggest you see a doctor, they can find out what’s the cause of this.
To me, it might sound like something like insomnia.

First, you shouldn’t be using the computer right now if you want to go to sleep.
Just stare into space not thinking of anything and that should help.

My mom tells me to lay down and watch TV until my eyes get sleepy.

Hope you can try that.

There are over the counter sleeping products you can buy. Just make sure you have enough time for sleeping. Like dont take it at 3am and expect to get up at 6. Sometimes taking a tylenol pm helps me too.

I would not watch tv or see a doctor or use drugs. all these things alter the natural process which God designed the body to function. When I have trouble sleeping, it’s because there is something that is unresolved in my life, such as conflict, pain I’ve caused to others, shame in my life…. When I get up from bed and pray and do my best to completely trust God with the situation, He becomes part of the solution, and I can go to sleep. There is a scripture in the bible that says “God will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him because he trusts in Him”.

try it - it works

Try warm milk and a peanut butter sandwich. something about that combo is supposed to help.

Watching tv or being on the computer are bad ideas to do right before sleep. wind down with a book or some other relaxing activity. Try not to do anything in your bed besides sleep. don’t eat a big meal before you go to sleep. When you lay down to go to bed, if you do not fall asleep in a half hour get up and go sit in a couch or something for a little while and read, don’t just toss and turn. Try to calm your mind by taking a bath before bed.

I have a lot of trouble sleeping so I understand how frustrating it is. Maybe one of these tricks will help you. I hope so

I think it’s the peanuts?
;DD
Haha. I heard that there’s something released into your body when you eat it.
Just like when you have turkey or ham?

I use to have the same problem. I started taking over the counter sleeping pills and drinking a cup of warm milk with honey in it. I usually take tylenol pm or advil pm.

Try drinking milk or eating rice before going to bed, both contain melatonin, a natural sleeping aid, which help you sleep better. From http://nosleep.in

Breaking the cycle by jiggling is also an effective measure. When in bed, gently shake your leg or arm and listen to your music very softly, trying to give a beat. The strain to listen to music along with the jiggling will create a unique sleep cycle and you’ll be sleeping soon. But this method is not compatible with a partner. But it sure is a small price for a comfortable sleep.

First of all the problem might be anxiety…if you have a lot emotional problems then you might be getting a little stressed. The best thing to do would be to exercise and spend time with friends to help you get over whatever is bothering you but you also can’t be afraid to talk about your problems. Talk about them until you’re sick of thinking about it…talking will keep you from thinking so much about it.

Don’t eat anything containing peanuts! I had trouble sleeping for about two years. During those years I always used to wake up at 3 am, finding it very difficult to fall into a good sleep again. After a while I started analysing what I was eating during the evenings, but none of the evening food were to blame. I later found out that it was actually the peanut butter sandwiches which I used to bring for my lunch that caused my bad sleeping pattern. Now I avoid eating anything containing peanuts and again I enjoy sleeping through the night and waking up refreshed in the morning. I would recommend that you analyse which type of food you eat during the day, and then try to eliminate one type of food at a time to see if your sleep will improve. Also avoid heavy meals, meat, beans (creates gas in the digestive system), chocolate, coffee, tea and excess fluids in the evenings (after 7 pm). And be aware that some types of potatoe chips are fried in peanut oil, so try to avoid those. Good luck :)

first of all my question is do you exercise or not??
if yes the best would be swimming ,if you know how to swim or can practice swimming 3 to 4 hours before bed then you will sleep good , my guess.
Also reading really helps.
Check to see if you have lactose problem or gastric issues as well.

another thing is if you could not sleep and now is morning. dont try to sleep after that because your body tends to make that as a routine, just try to survive that day without sleeping ,and eventually you will sleep at night.

all the best and goodluck.
