I messed up my speakers on my laptop somehow.

I can’t get any sound from them at all. I checked to see if anything was muted but, there isn’t. How do I find outr if I blew the speakers? Or did I just possibly shut something off? Please help, I need sound.

If it was blown, you would hear the cones vibrating with damage in it. Turn it up high and listen closely, it should sound like a dead leaf hitting the floor. If its not that it might just be a software problem.

Did you hit one of the F keys on your computer? One of them is a mute on most laptops.

Try plugging in some headphone. If they give off sound, then your speakers are blown. If they don’t, then do what Dan said

I am sooo upset now. I plugged in headphones and I can hear. How did I manage to blow the speakers. I suppose it is expensive to fix them, probably cheaper to buy a new laptop?! Oh well, my bad. Thanks everyone for your advice.
