Any type of heat on the hair will damage it but hair straightners with ceramic plates can be better.
Condition it well and make sure it is dry before you straighten it and put it on the correct setting for your hair type.

Revlon and ghd are a good make.

what u can do is get hair treatment for ur hair to help give any dry hair more moisture to it etc. u can go to a hair dressers and ask if they have any products or u can pay them to do the treatment on you.

“WHEN STRAIGHTENING YOUR HAIR USE HEAT PROTECTION SPRAY!!!!!!!!”
…As my hairdresser told me lol :)
Yeah, use heat protection spray as it stops your hair from burning.
As for straightners, I’d suggest GHD’s.
It all depends on your price range, though.

Hope it helps.
