Money help: anyone know of any real online charities to help me financially? - Help.com

Hi, I’ve found a good site called www.crown.org. No good if ur wanting a quick fix but they show and help you to draw up budgets and get a hold of your finances, you can download letters to send to your creditors if you’ve missed payments etc. A lot of good, sound advice so that over the long-term you can see your bank balance improving. They have a number you can call to get advice on your situation specifically. Organising and money management don’t come naturally to me but I’m determined to get better at it and improve my apalling credit rating and pay off my debt.

be persistant and that will force them to review your situation a little
closer. Remember that they receive sooo many requests for help and you will
fall between the cracks if you are not persistant. That is what happened to

Also try helpmyresume.org. They have a grant program that may help people who need to pay their bills or rent. However, they do not respond very quickly. You have to apply by telling them of your need and then they base their decision on how badly you need the help. If you are accepted they will contact you via email I believe. Hope this helps.

It seems to have alot of paperwork but if you check with your local srs office they may refer you to an office that will pay your utilities short-term. Hope it works out for you.
