Marriage because getting divorced takes time, effort, and lots of money and is just generally difficult to go through with which stops people from going through with it so they have to live the rest of their lives unhappy in a marriage that seemed so perfect to begin with. Oh, how love fools.

Reminds me of the time I saw Shrek 2. There was a toddler about 2-3 years old behing me and my friend. When Puss got searched and they found the “catnip” the little boy asked what it was, his parents go “That’s the weed stuff me and daddy smoke”.
