life help: stressing out a little. - Help.com

stressing out a little.

My husband just got accepted to the military and he leaves in just a few days. we were only given a little over a week notice so we are stressing to get everything in order. the longest we have been apart is for ten days in the last 5 years and he will be across teh country for a little over three months, then when he comes back he still wont be living at home for six months after that. It is all for the best I know, he will be training in a trade he enjoys and the money will be better, but it is all just so sudden.

I believe there are support groups for military spouses. Ask your husband to check on that for you.

I would be stressed out too. That sounds like it will be very hard to deal with.

its just weird because we only have a little over a week to figure everything out, then he will be gone. I know there are support groups but I dont know where everything is or what they offer.

He is not the only one who is going to get an education in the military, you will too. Make it your mission to find out all you can while he is gone. You and he are making a huge investment in the future of your country. You will receive many benefits as a military family, but I want you to know how much I appreciate your choice to protect our way of life.
