A hairstyle that fits your face, And makeup that enhances just certain parts of your face. You dont want makeup all over your face and then you’ll look plastic lol.
Just some eyeshadow, blush, lip stuff, and your good with makeup.
basically anything you can pull off
I asked a similer question for senior pictures and some one told me to take the picture resembling me as much as possible as i would be through the year, and not a me that is all dolled up for a picture so be you
Yea, that’s what I was telling my mom, that I should look like me, but I’m not terribly photogenic, so a PHOTOGENIC me would be nice. Haha. Like is there any makeup that’ll make it worse or better? I don’t wear makeup often, so I don’t really know much about it. What about eyeliner or mascara?
use subtle high lights in the makeup, a little lighter shadow on the corners of your eyes, highlight the brow line and use the same shade on your lips as their natural color. no eyeliner on the bottom lid but a alittle mascara
do you have any blemishes? or red spots?
they can be easily covored with some yellow spot foundation, i prefer physicians formula, and then just powder over that with your normal shade.
if you got a nice summer tan wear something light in color it will show off that new tone, also don’t wear anything too low cut as the camera puts a new angle on your chest and cleavage.
for your hair just go with something natural, for me i just shower put a little anti-frizz stuff and let it dry it curls nicely and is easy to maintain
hope this helps!
also if you don’t wear makeup often don’t go overboard as that will make you look overdone!
just keep it natural and use a light hand
Thanks so much! I gotta practice that haha
Well, I recommend getting some BIG hot rollers. Use those. While those are working apply your make-up.
Don’t use anything with SPF in it… SPF will reflect the light and make you look washed out.
Use natural colors like browns and earthy tones.
If you play up your eyes, just use some lip gloss.. of you play up your lips.. just use a little liner and some mascara.
Don’t play up BOTH you will look over done.
Just be natural.
Back to your hair… take down your hot rollers and don’t touch them. Allow them to cool and then after they cool… use your fingers to seperate your curls.
Spray them with Sebastian Hairspray and you are done!
Also, try to avoid wearing white… or anything with to much print.
GO NATURAL… just enhance your beauty…
You are pretty!
i hope this helps
another tip is try and use brown mascara it makes your eyes pop and doesn’t look too formal
Thank you Kima! Haha, the only make up I own is spf, so thanks I’ll have to go out and get some. And thanks for the hair tips. Thanks Malori, so much help guys. haha
for brands of non-spf i recommend “Jane”
their stuff is inexpensive and good quality!
EASY AND SIMPLE not too overdone, just the most beautiful you that makeup can make you. never overdone, just enough to enhance your best features. If you arent’ very experienced, try making an appointment with a local cosmetics counterto have one of thier people do it. Tel them exactly what you want, and they could probably accomodate you.
Jane is good…
Also Clinique has some great stuff…
You are welcome.. post your pic up sometime and let us check you out!
Remember you are pretty how you are.. just enchance your prettyness…
You might also ask your photographer for anytips!
One thing people seem to often not think about is their clothing. They usually think their best outfit will be the best for a photo… but this is not always true. Try to stay away from fussy, sparkly, and overly complex outfits. Stick with basic styles/shapes with basic yet bold solid colors that look good with your skintone. Especially for headshots, this can make or break a photo! The same goes for jewelry… keep it simple! A simple chain necklace and stud earrings work great.
You’re a blonde, blondes usually look good in red, also navy blue, but if you have green eyes sometimes aqua blue looks nice too… If you gave me your eye color I can try to see which colors look good on you if you don’t already know. Choosing the right one can really make you glow!
With your make-up, like they were saying, since you don’t do much makeup usually, don’t go overboard. Simple natural colors look great with maybe a little neutral shimmer right below the brow arch and at the corners of the eyes..
These are just tips I know from working with my aunt who’s a photographer when she does headshots. :)
When I was discussing the red and blue and aqua above, it was more for clothing colors, not make-up sorry! Keep the make-up simple… and natural looking, just gently enhance your natural features. Sometimes you can go to a local make-up counter at a department store to get your makeup done.
Just went on the jane website and they sell stuff around the corner from me so I’ll check it out. Hopefully my pictures will turn out well and I’ll deff put them up!
I think Iam gonna go to the mall and check out one of those make up stands, I just hate being pressured into buying things, especially because some of their make up is pretty pricey.
My eyes are like green-blue-gray, depending on the weather… or my mood. They change. I was thinking of a red, but the main picture has a black drape so it doesn’t matter what I’m wearing.
Ahhh…. the dreaded black drape! stick with something simple and elegant. Maybe an up-do would suit you also.. but if you work with your long hair, maybe give it some more fullness and slightly more curl, but larger curls..
Here’s a shot of some hair that’s similar to what you have going on in your photo, but with a little more fullness and the part is slightly more offset: http://z.about.com/d/beauty/1/5/M/H/c…
I also like the one on the left side in this shot:
I love the Kate hudson one. Thanks! I hope I find something that’ll stay.
