Yeah. Its usually someone that doesn’t really give a crap about your feelings, many are not considerate in regards to who recieves the comment.
I personally don’t use it, you probably never know what the persons degree of sensitivity is.

k…. i told my friend i would give her my job when i leave to school but i thought about it and i remembered she isnt a good worker and it would make me look bad!!! soo i told her “just kidding they filled it already” she didn’t care… that is such a bad example….. but i did say that…

the “just kidding” as a social screen to hide behind. And it allows them
to get away with saying something critical with the idea that they can cover their *****.

In regards to the “Just kidding, hide behind sometimes thing”, What I see is that it can backfire the day you take it back with a lie, not everybody is stupid, you should be careful though.

help.com took my pic off, not my choice!! hahah and i never lied, it never back fired only bc everyone uses it (well at least people around me) i think when i do say jk it is better then just ignoring the “problem” or making the person feel bad…
