hmmm..well really you just have to make yourself do it. you should just start earlier next time and set aside time to study and time for play.
join a study group even.
if you’re watching tv study during the commercials (which may work better in the US than in the UK simply because the amount of commercials we have is rediculous:P)
also, classical music, or just scores to films while you’re studying might help. been scientifically proven to make you smarter ;)

really it is hard to get motivation, right now im doing a bunch of stuff for my english class that are due tomorrow on the first day that i had all summer to do…now thats bad my friend!:P

Drive to an overpass. Pull up next to the homeless guy holding up the will work for food sign. Picture yourself in his place. Visualize yourself stinking and hungry and living under a bridge. Go home and study like you’ve never studied before.

What I do is listen to music that soothes me. It gives me determination and I also think of the feeling of the way you feel when you accomplish something. Think of that feeling you will feel when you have completeted studying. It will make you feel all refreshed.

This also may sound weird but I find love from my dog helps me motavate my studies. So try sharing feelings with your pet or family member.

As does snar, who has an exam tomm and is here instead….

If I wanna make sure I actaulyl work I go far far away from my computer. Thats the first step. Then I set a goal for studying, time or content. I dont leave that secluded area until its done.

WOW!! I had the same problem last week…really needed to get the homework done but instead I played on help…cost me some all nighters to get the final grades!!!

Are you ready for all nighters? If not, I would suggest you study…assuming you care about your grades.

Sometimes this works for me: I tell myself I will do homework/read/study/whatever for 30 minutes, then take a break, and go back for another 30 minutes. I have something to look forward to (sort of like a reward system), so there’s some motivation. More often than not, I don’t want to quit after the 30 minutes have gone by, and I end up getting a lot of work done.
