The Future?

I am in highschool and realizing that now is the time to choose my life. I just don’t know what to do and I don’t want to get into anything then find something later in life which I decide, “That’s what I really wanted.”

So I need help. I’m looking for a career involving designing, photoshop, graphics, maybe writing (I’ve written personal novels that only my friends have read), and pretty much anything along those lines. I’m a male and I don’t really want to attend 8 years of college just to get into graphic design because I know a lot about computers already. I’ve made videos of great length using only Photoshop CS and Microsoft Paint. I guess I’m just asking for any advice.

I don’t want to sound rude but please don’t tell me only I can look for my own career because I have tried, and I know theres way too many jobs that aren’t popular and brought to mind. Thank you, so so very much.

The time to ask these question is when you first start going to college. And the person to ask is the career counselor. That’s what they’re there for.

What about highschool courses? I’m just beginning and honestly I don’t know much at all.

Well you have some ideas of what fields you might want to go into, so any high school courses that run along the same vein (art, architecture, computer graphics, etc) you’d probably gravitate towards anyway because you enjoy them, right?
Talk to your high school counselor. That’s what they’re there for too ;)
I only say talk to counselors because they really do have all the insight you need. Much better than any of us would. They know what’s available in your area as far as high school classes, college courses, jobs, etc.
