okay im starting highschool next week, and tomorrow

is orientation, and i know that this is really stupid but, both of my parents are going with me and i dont want them too, i just want one and it doesnt matter which one just not both. i know that probably does not make any sence but im really desperate for them to agree on just one of them going with me…but i dont know how to persuade them since they both want to go.

why don’t you just talk to them - get them to toss a coin to see who goes with you?

good luck.

Did you explain to them that you would just feel better and less nervous if only one of them went with you?

Just tell them that if they’re going then they’re going to get information for themselves and not to give you company. Tell them that you want to get used to the high school experience alone and that if they’re going to go, then to stay seperated from you and do their own thing.

tell them that your orientation is your orientation. they can’t live high school for you. and tell them how you feel, i would never want my parents to go to my orientation, not because i don’t love them just because i want to live it my way, i don’t want them to tell me what im doing wrong and right, that is for me to find out.
