Hey guys!

I’m going to write a research paper for my College Prep English class and I get to choose my own topic. The only thing is it needs to be something about the United Kingdom (ie- How the Beatles effected today’s music; Baseball vs. Rugby; etc). It is going to be a persuasive paper and it needs to be around 12-14 pages, so it needs to be a topic I can research a lot of information on. I would like it to be something different and unique; not just a topic that my teacher has seen 30 times before. Thanks a lot! :)

That’s interesting. I don’t have any suggestions atm, but I’m interested to know what you eventually pick.

You know, my friends always spend hours arguing who had the bigger impact on music, the Beatles or Michael Jackson. Maybe you could form a similar one, since I, guess b/c of your name, you’re interested in music.

Off-topic, but The Beatles - hands down. I’m also not saying that from a fan point-of-view. It’s just the way it is. Lol. Like John Lennon said, “as popular as Jesus” and I agree with him.

Back on topic. There’s a lot of things you could choose. How about the involvement of the UK during WW1 and WW2? Oh, and I like tanker’s idea too. British Vs American comedy. :)

Sheesh, even almost the entire US of A can quote Monty Python better than the Ghettysburg Address…
