Help me!

A bunch of my friends were going to watch a movie on saturday night, and I wanted to go with them. It turns out friends of my family are visiting and taking me and my family to a relatively expensive restaurant. I want to hang out with my friends and watch the movie, but I see no way of doing that. The reservations are for 5:30, so there isn’t much time to hang out with my friends before that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If they’re good friends see if they would mind seeing the movie on Friday instead. If that’s not possible, just suck it up and do the family thing on Saturday night. There will be many other nights to spend with with your friends in the future.

Well, I know you want to hang out with your friends, but when will another opportunity like that come up? If I were you, I would go to the dinner. After all, you can always ask your mates to re-watch it :) That’s what I did…. I saw the same film 3 times in one week XD

your friends are your friends and they should be able to understand your situation. go to your dinner because those opportunitys dont always come up. your friends are not going anywhere so you can hang out with them any other time ok

My friends will forgive me, but I think since its the last sort of party deal before school starts, I’d like to do it. My friends don’t do this often.
