I’m not American, nor do I know much about wither candidate, all I can see here though is a person trying to say that military service is all that should be taken into account when electing a president and a congress. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Look at it this way: wouldn’t you like to have a president who’s smart (really, really smart), funny, good looking, diplomatic, able to actually THINK on his feet, has actually set foot in other countries before being elected, and who the whole rest of the world hopes to God we elect? Or would you really rather have a doddering old fart who everybody says is a war hero simply because he was a prisoner?

I also think intelligence, the ability to work with and for thepeople and being able to respond appropriately are essential for a president. McCain doesn’t demonstrate either of those qualities as far as I can tell. Indeed a shrub clone!
