you can tell us. being muslim shouldn’t make u afraid. u have a right to like any1 u want.
Aww, being Muslim doesn’t mean you’re not human now does it? You can still have feelings for people, just like everyone else does.
Hmmm, is the problem that u don’t tell anyone fearing they will think u are weird or crazy or something? Cause i know how people can be,..jerks >:(, but some people can be very nice and understanding, go give it a try lol.
exactly.. anyway, its not like its a bad thing. tell ur best m8s:) are you worried because you think it may be against your religion?

u think it’s wrong for any religion to go against what they are taught?? We wouldn’t have elictricity or anything if people hadn’t. Sorry, but i would have to disagree with you strongly ;P
i think its wrong for people to use religion as an excuse to not like someone.
oh, lol in that case, you are totally right ;P hahaha
Do what you want but don’t tell the Imam!!!
the Imam?? haha, i’m christian, but i don’t follow to it strictly by the slightest measure, i think i may be more atheist than christian. So who’s Imam?
I was responding to the original poster, not you.
The Imam is like the top guy of each mosque. He’s sort of like a leader…at least as far as I know… =S
ik, but i was just wondering who imam is.

Being muslim doesnt stop you from liking someone and falling in love! I wouldnt advise you to tell your parents though… speak to your friends and older sis if you have one.
Just be carefull what you do the main problem your family would have is the whole issue with izzat (respect)
my advice be carefull and your not doing anything wrong :)

You’re an atheist? So…you don’t believe in God at all? Or do you mean, you’re more spiritual than religious? There’s a difference. And Christians are the more laid back religion. They pretty much accept everyone. Muslims have their ways, and only believe in marryin their own kind and all that BS. Did you hear about that man who just recently killed his daughter because she would not leave her black husband. Or the one who was killed by someone who was hired by the spouses parent? That’s prolly why she’s scared.
ye well, i would hardly call the crusades laid back!
I speak on them in general. Not any certain individual. Some of them are full of shyt. My point is that anyone no matter race or color or background can become Christian. That’s all I’m saying. Maybe I should have worded that differently
Are you in love with a Muslim boy or with someone from another religion? Also, is this boy in the same social strata as you are or there are family restrictions to whom are you allowed to talk? Were you already promised to someone else and you love this guy? In your religion it is what the majority of the families do, in early ages they promise the girl to a boy and they wait until they become of age.

Same is true for Muslims. Anybody can convert.
I’m not talking about these American made muslims. I’m talking about the real one’s. We can’t go to Iraq and become no muslim in their country. Nor could we go to India or those other countries who are Muslim. Anybody can be one in US. U are right, and their practices and beliefs are totally different than those in other countries.
Unfortunately, some religions discriminate against members of other religions. I’m going to name the worst offenders right now: Judaism, Roman Catholicism, and Islam. When I, a Christian, talked to a rabbi about marrying my Jewish fiance, I thought he was going to faint right then and there. Fortunately, most American Jews don’t care if their intended spouse is a Christian. The Roman Catholic Church considers all other Christian churches “defective,” and insists that children born into a mixed-religious family be raised Catholic. Islam is pretty much right up there with Roman Catholicism, and insists all other religions are defective. Sharia law specifies that in a divorce, the father gets the kids–always. In some ways, I consider Islam more liberal than Roman Catholicism. ANYONE can become a Muslim, but the Catholic Church turns away people who have been divorced.

Wrong. It’s got nothing to do with the USA. Muslims anywhere accept anyone as converts. That doesn’t mean that a Westerner wouldn’t have some big cultural differences in those countries, but nothing is stopping you from becoming a Muslim. In fact, if certain extremists have their way, they’d like nothing better than for everyone to convert. It’s their goal in life, you might say.
By the way, I’ve been to India. It’s the largest democracy on earth. Yes, it’s a real live democracy. They have elections. A bill of rights (like your constitution, based on British model). They’ve got a freer press than the USA. Anyone can go to India and become a Muslim if they want. Most of them would be quite content about it. The Muslims there are a minority (most are Hindus) but they’re a pretty progressive lot for the most part, relative to Muslims in other parts of the world. Some extreme wierdos and violent types, but you get that everywhere.
