My mom has been raising 4 kids for 26 years. my parents divorced when i was young and we have no contact with my dad. Now that i am starting my sophomore year of college my mom is scared to start over. she is 50 and hasnt worked since juneish. she has no social life. my sibings suggested volunteering, getting a hobby like tennis or something. what else can she do?? i want her to be happy bc right now the only thing she has is family which is great but she needs more!! please help

first, i think she needs to let go. then, more often than occasional phone calls wouldn’t hurt. and finally, yeah, i think other (positive) activity to fill her time like volunteer or community clubs, anything within her taste that basically ‘her time’ and she’s more than deserves it after 26 years.
and if i may suggest, the internet is a great place to start looking.
