contradiction and confirmation in the same time… niiice…
there must be a name for that in philosophy
Yeah, seen that before..
Interesting, best thing is to read it, go Oooh and then forget about it, thinking only hurts the brain cells… well mine anyway, thy rusted up years ago..
It’s a paradox like ‘I lie about everything’ if I do indeed lie about everything then that statement can’t be true, but then I’m a liar.
how long did you meditate to come up with these words of wisdom philosophy…?
It’s just a classic self-referential paradox. there are loads:
Moderation in all things, including moderation.
If there is an exception to every rule, then every rule must have at least one exception, the exception to this one being that it has no exception.
My favorite one is in my old school exam papers they used to write ‘Blank Page’ in bold type in the centre of unused pages.
“`I always lie’ is a paradox because if it is true it must be false”
liar paradox: it is a sentence which cannot be consistently interpreted as true or false, because if it is false it must be true, and if it is true it must be false. Therefore, it can be concluded the sentence is neither true nor false.
If I aim to fail and I succeed, have I succeeded or have I failed?
I know my friend told me that before I went into an exam, a real proper not fake important exam. I kicked him.
