Can Anyone Help Please?

Okay well my mother quit smoking about 2 years ago.
She claims she cant stand the smell of smoke now. I Encouraged
her to stop and she did.

Problem is , tonight i went downstairs to my kitchen and
i could smell smoke. It was easy to notice since nobody
in my house smoked. So i went out to my Laundry room and
it was stronger. That room has french doors leading out
to the back yard. It was raining outside. I looked about
in the room and on the floor next to the french doors
was a finished cigarette , and it was soaking wet.

I dont understand why she would do it.
Is there any signs to tell when someones smoking?
Can Anyone Help?

I Hate Smoking. :/

She started smoking again because her mom just died. Cut her some slack. Tell her privately that you know she smoked and you understand why but you hope she’ll quit again soon when she’s feeling stronger and that you’re there for her to support her when she’s ready.

Stand your grounds huni!! I think you should talk to her but remember you can do this nicely… Dont focus on the negitive things. tell her all the graet things that came out of her not smoking!!!!

Maybe even talk to your dad will help, if you to have a good relationship he might understand and not say anything to her,, then he can say things to your mum such as ” your skin has began to shin sence you stopped smoking, your so beautiful, im proud of you!” Yes i know this is cheesy.. Or b4 you talk to her you could try complementing her lots about no smoking like you dont know… spending as much time as you can with her will make it harded for her to sneak off for one.
She uses this as a fix, maybe if your with her more you can be her fix!!
Good Luck
