girl help: I need a good cure for mild acne. - Help.com

I need a good cure for mild acne.

My acne isnt super terrible, its just enough for me to not be able to look someone straight in the eye at close range, and im pretty self conscious around girls my age.

Ive tried proactiv, it didnt work, and i just dont know what to try. A different cure works for everyone and some people cant do anything about it, but i just need some suggestions because ive ran out of ideas.

go to a dermatologist. They can give you some free samples of prescription strength stuff. works well for me, and mine was pretty bad.

I agree with hybrid, a dermatoligist would help you.

If you have low funds, try Oxy 10 cleansing pads & the cream that goes with it.

just to spam products - what about clearalsel (or however its spelt!)

but for a better way, check your diet (over abundance of sugar/fatty foods cause acne), and how often do you wash your face?

not meaning anything by it, but things like that help! (i know - i had the same problem, and it still flares if i go on a binge of munching!)

but a dermatologist will help too :P

If its nothing too serious then try some kind over over the counter product like Oxy…(this stuff made miracles happen for me =)….and if that doesnt work then go see a dermatologist. I went to see one and he gave me something called tetracycline. Its a pill I take 2wice a day and its pretty amazing stuff!

go to a dermatologist.
don’t touch your face (i.e. don’t squeeze them).
and wash your face! before bed, when you wake up, and maybe even after school (or work).
also get some face wash with salicylic (sp) acid.
neutrogena has some.
drink more water and avoid sugar!
if you do get treatment at the dermatologist you might want to try a microdermabrasion.
also if you want something a little more natural try teatree oil.
