how do u play happy birthday on the violin?

can anyone tell me how? i have to learn it by saturday and i think i got the first 4 notes right. which is ‘d-d-e-d’
and every time i try to play de key ‘b’ or ‘c’ i get a scratch sound.anyone help?

Right I play the violin and I wish I could just come and help you! If you are getting scrathing sounds try putting a lot of rosin on the bow to dry it out. Also try playing further away from the bridge, closer to the black finger board to soften the sound a little. If those two things don’t help make sure the bow is very flat on the strings, you’re not pushing hard down on the strings and your using long sweeping movements from the elbow not the wrist or shoulder. If all else fails it is probably a very new and possibly cheap violin and that’s just a shame.

Are you a beginner on the violin? Because if you are you are just going to get a squeeky sound anyways because it possibly is a cheap violin.
