My ex is so mean to me, and I don’t understand why.

He broke up with me and is now seeing a new girl. Just the other day I asked him about a shirt I left at his old house, and he told me he may have thrown it out. I asked him why would he do that and he didn’t reply. No explanation, no apology…I just don’t understand. Why be mean to me when I haven’t done a single thing wrong to him. I was faithful and very much in love with him. Why does he act like this?

I think the best thing you can do is to move on, forget about him, he has already hurt you so don’t let his actions continue to worry you.
Sometimes you just can’t understand the reasons why people do things, there are no answers.

Honestly, I just wanted my shirt back! He has changed so much and has been acting so creepy I wouldn’t want him back like this…I guess I’m just curious what reason he has for being mean to me. He broke up with me because we would get in arguments about me wanting to spend more time with him, and him making more of an effort to see me, rather than me always go out of my way for him. He broke up with me because he couldn’t give me what I wanted. I think this is because he must have just stopped caring for me in that way? I’m not sure. But either way, I was never mean to him and our break up wasn’t over anything dramatic so it really confuses me why he acts so hateful and like I’m nothing.

Also, there’s no way this new girl told him to throw it away…the shirt is back at his old house and he just moved and then met her. She’s never been there, and I believe he must have thrown it out before he even met her.

i think you should talk to him… it is the best way to find out why he is acting this way… and you dont have to listen to me but its worth a try!!

Thanks for the advice! I’ve tried talking to him and it doesn’t get anywhere. He acts so awkward and won’t answer any questions that he doesn’t want to. When I try to tell him how I feel he doesn’t want to hear it and brushes it off by saying I’m too “emo”.
