Okay I just started school and we are doing a review, but I don’t know how to do equivalent expressions…..

(2+x) + y and 7*(a*c)

Please help I need three equivalent expressions for each problem

its easy with addition and multiplication, you can pretty much put them in any order you want…

its easy, if everything is added or multiplied it doesn’t matter but if there are multiple signs you need to use the order of operations. parentheses, exponents, multipl./division whichever is first, then add/subtr. whichever is first.

so (5+3)+4 =5+4+3 or in any order
and ((5+1)^2 /3)-1=11
